Here for you

This is the last of the loft cards I took pictures of (unless there's more hiding somewhere in Picasa). I love the 'country' feel to this card. So fun! I remember being inspired somewhere before making this card, but I honestly don't remember where it was from. I should write these things down.

Can I say something?
I have a lot on my mind this morning. I've been up since 5:30 because I had a lot on my mind.
Being you is enough.
You are fabulous because you are you.
It's not you mixed with some role in your life.
It's not because you are a mother.
Or because you have a job.
It's not because you are married.
You are not less of a person because you aren't married.
Or because you don't have children.
Or because you don't have a job.
You are fabulous because God says so.
It's because of who He is.
He made you, formed you in your mother's womb.
He says that you were fearfully and wonderfully made.
And that's enough.
That was before you could DO anything or BE someone.
It was before you took you first breath.

It's hard because the world looks around and says, "WHO are you? What can you do? Show me, prove it to me! You are what you do." But it's not true.
I am not who I am because of what I create.
Sure, I'm a wife, a friend, a daughter...but those roles don't define me.
God defines me.
Being me is enough without all of those other things.
God is enough.

Thanks for listening.

We are on the same page! In SS we talked of how we seek validation from the people around us... forgetting to seek that validation from God and to the bible to see what He has to say about us.(I am guilty of this!)

AMEN girl! We are only who God says we are, not what people say we are! Yes I am a wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister,& pastors wife, ect., but God sees me as so much more than I even see myself! He is so GOOD! No matter what, He will always love us! :)

Thanks for sharing those words. I think we all have to remind ourselves to see ourselves through HIS eyes from time to time.

Love your card, something about the chicken and the damask really work for me.

the message was the same from Sunday.....we are not as the world sees us, and we do not have to be as the world thinks we should....It is only as God sees us that counts.......
and we already have measured up according to God's ruler.....

Wow...we ARE all on the same page. Now...if I could just really have faith that I am enough for God. Thank you for reminding us of God and His standards.
