Workshop cards

Hello! I've been absent for a few days. I thought about scheduling some posts, but I ran out of time. I had a great time in Wrangell with my stamping club. It really felt like I was 'home'. All of the ladies are just so amazing! I'm so thankful for them. I have a couple of more months with them, so I'm thankful for that!

This is one of the cards we made. Therese, the hostess, was interested in seeing a wedding invitation design. I saw an idea here and decided to work off that idea. I felt like the cards we made for this workshop were rather simple. It was funny because I didn't have any sentimental stamps with me. Oops! Note to self: bring sentimental stamps next time AND extra paper! Oops!

This is the inside of the card with the vellum band that goes around the card.

This is the other card we made. I got the idea for the flower from Beate. I took the picture of this card on a sunny day (today is NOT one of those days--hello fall!)

I'm in a card making mood today. Last night I found an idea that I started working on last night.

I've noticed that there are times when I put so much pressure on myself to come up with ideas for workshops that I don't really enjoy the process/journey of stamping. I also realized that I have been looking around at other places for ideas too much again. It's ok for me to look around, but I have to be well-balanced with it or I'm in trouble. I need to be true to my own stamping style.

Beautiful cards Christina! I miss you too! I was thinking today that we haven't "talked" in a while! I was only out of the loop for about a day but feel like it was forever ago! Glad you had a great time with your Wrangell girls! :) Love that flower you made... may have to investigate that one! I saw your color challenge... way cool! I don't know how much stamping I am going to get done (depends on if this is a kidney stone and how long it stays) but I will try to play! Love ya!
