Joel's Baby Journal: Week 28

The poor little baby of our family just doesn't have a lot of photos taken.  Poor kid!  This week only had 2 photos of him.  Oops!

Joel's Baby Journal: Week 27

I'm making progress on the baby journal.  I work on it bit by bit during the week.  It doesn't take me long since I have Joshua's journal to work off of (if you compare some of the pages they look very similar).  Sometimes I don't have to change much.

Joel's Baby Journal : Week 26

And yet another one-photo week for Joel.  Ha!  It's better than nothing, right?

Joel's Baby Journal : Week 25

I couldn't believe that there was only one picture for this whole week of Joel.  It's so sad.  I hope he doesn't compare his album with Jeralyn's, or even Joshua's.  Oops!  Poor kid!

Joel's Baby Journal : Week 24

Well, I'm back at it--plugging away at scrapping Joel's first year of life.

Project Life 2017 : February

It feels good to get this far in scrapping, because now I can finish up Joel's baby journal (since he's now a year old).  Yay!  One step at a time.  One week at a time.

Project Life 2017 : January

It may be almost April, but I just finished my first project life spread for the year!  Yay!  It's still going to be monthly since that works very well for me.

I have some new brushes to use.  New fonts.  And I'm adding some paper strips here and there.  Otherwise, it will look the same as it did last year.

Project Life 2016: December

Guess what?  2016 is done!  Of's almost April!  Haha!  I'm talking about my monthly Project Life pages!  Complete!  Finished!  Yay!

And now it's time to plan a little bit for 2017's pages.  I would like to find a new font to use and change things a little bit, but it won't be much of a change.  I like the templates and format I've been using; it's working well for me.

December was a weird month.  We moved.  It was Christmas-time, but it didn't really feel like it without all of our festive decorations.  There was snow--plenty of snow!  So that made it festive.  And then we were all sick for Christmas.  Ugh.  Germs go away!

Project Life 2016: November

Only one more month to go for Project Life 2016!

It's so weird looking back at these photos because it was our last weeks at our house in Ketchikan. It was a bittersweet time; much yearned for, but then when it was finally happening it was sad at the same time.  We had friends over for Thanksgiving and then BOOM, a few days later the packers were boxing up all of our stuff.  And then once our house was empty it no longer felt like home.

I'm curious to see what photos I actually have of December since it was such a weird month...

Project Life 2016: August

I'm so glad I decided long ago to do a monthly version of Project Life because otherwise it would take me ages to complete the pages.  It's not about completing it...but would have taken me forever if I was doing a weekly project.

Lately, the kids have been taking out our most recent scrapbook albums and looking through them.  Joshua thinks that he is Jeralyn or that his baby pictures are Joel (they do look a lot alike).  It's been fun to share those memories with them through the pages.

It's been fun to catch-up because I look back at these photos and the memories of our last home and our life in Alaska come flooding into my heart and mind.  Those were precious, memorable years.  We left Alaska different people than when we first entered the beautiful state.  And now the journey continues...but that's for later...when I'm more caught up.

Project Life 2016: July

Wow, it's been SO long since I've blogged.  So much has happened since August.  We moved from Alaska to Idaho.  So between moving and waiting on pictures to be edited and just life in's just been a long time.  Oops!

We went to Michigan in July and we took SO many pictures!  In fact, there were so many pictures that instead of doing a regular 2-page spread for the month, I had to do 3-spreads (6 pages)!

My goal was to take a picture with everyone we saw during our visit in Michigan.  I didn't get everyone, but I am impressed with what I did get.
