Hello! I just finished this page and thought it would be one of those perfect 'Christmas in July' layouts to share. It also means I'm getting closer to being done with scrapbooking 2012. I'm doing my best to pick out the photos that I 'should' scrap instead of scrapping them all. It's hard to choose! I had fun with this color combo since it has the traditional red/green Christmas colors, but also some pinks and purples.

Daughter
Hello! It's been awhile since I haven't posted. My sister in law, Natasha, surprised me with a 10-day visit. I'm taking a little break right now (maybe before I take a nap), while she and Quent play some cribbage. I thought I would post something since I had a moment.
I was inspired by a page I found through Pinterest. The digital kit I used is: Currently by Traci Reed

Little miss blue eyes
Hello! I've been scrapbooking a lot lately. It's been so fun! I've been listening to an audio book and some fun music and have just been having a blast! I have completed 3 pages in the last day, not to mention some Project Life pages. Feels so good! Suddenly I feel so creative!

Project Life: Week 24
Hello! Would you believe it if I told you I was caught up with Project Life? Well, you better because it's true! Ha! Feels so good! I bought some new digital kits and that was true motivation to have fun and play! Works every time! Now maybe I can get caught up on last year's photos! Haha!

Project Life: Week 23
Hello! I'm so glad it's raining today! I needed a rainy day to have an excuse to be inside and play with Photoshop. I am a month behind on Project Life and I would really like to get caught up. So I'm on to the next week...

Project Life: Week 22
Hello! Honestly, I didn't think I would be back so quick posting another Project Life page, but here I am! I have to say I love this spread! It feels so good to complete another week. I'm about to start week 23, but I wanted to blog first.
I've been noticing this pressure I've been putting on myself to scrapbook 'normal' pages, aka NOT Project Life, but I've come to terms that Project Life just might be my norm for awhile. It's what's working for me. The more pressure I (or others) put on me, the more I want to turn and run the other way (this applies to like everything in my life, maybe it's because I'm a stubborn first-born!). I don't like pressure. Pressure + scrapbooking = procrastination and unhappiness. And who wants to be unhappy in their hobby (which isn't something I HAVE to do, but that I LIKE to do).
This is a new season for me, it's a season of documenting with pictures, some journaling, in the simple collage form that is what I call Project Life. And I'm ok with that. I had so many years of having the time to scrap whenever, whatever, but now my time is precious and limited, so I will do my best, and my best right now is Project Life.
And friends, that's creative freedom to me! Yay!

Vacation 2012 Pages 1-2
After scrapping that page earlier I realized that the next photos to scrap were from our vacation we took to the Midwest last fall. Ideally, I would like to make a photobook of our vacation to put in a Shutterfly album or something like that. I much prefer doing collage form pages since (again) there are a lot of photos. Plus it saves time. And time is precious. So looks like this is going to be Project Life style. I just can't help myself I guess. Ha! Maybe I'll throw in some "regular" pages from time to time. I'm also trying to figure out what I will do for journaling. The album will have an introduction page which will probably have the journaling for the first 2 pages I have posted here. And the journaling will probably be borrowed from our family blog.
Hello 'lil baby
So today my friend Rebekah was asking if I'm still doing any regular scrapbooking (other than Project Life). Err...so that basically was a good motivator for me to GET TO IT! Ha! Seriously, I'm a bit overwhelmed with all of the many photos I *could* scrapbook, but I'm trying to just pick out the very special photos (which is still really hard to do!). Bek, thanks for the motivation! *wink*
The picture on the page below is one of my favorite photos of Jeralyn. So this was definitely a no-brainer to scrap...but it's not going to always be an easy decision. And this photo reminds me of how much she's grown and changed since this photo was taken just a couple weeks over her first birthday. She's so precious!

Project Life: Week 19
Hello! It feels like forever since I last scrapbooked (aka working on Project Life), when really, it's only been a few weeks. You may laugh at me, but I'm having a hard time remembering what it was like to scrapbook whenever I wanted for all of those years before I had Jeralyn. Last night I was having one of those guilty moments that I haven't been keeping up with scrapbooking as I had hoped. But I was too tired to scrap last night and I know that if I stay up too late it will take me a long time to fall asleep. Having a baby changes everything, and having a toddler REALLY changes everything. She's a busy little bee, buzzing around non-stop. The last few weeks have been busy, so I haven't had my normal time of playing in Photoshop for a bit during her blanket time in the morning. And the only reason I got to scrap this evening is because Quent wasn't hogging the computer. Ha!
And did I mention before that I'm selling off my stamping stuff on eBay? Every single thing I listed (aside from one thing) sold! I have more to sell, I'm just working up the nerve to list a bunch of stuff again--because when I do I have packages to weigh, packing slips to print, and post office visits to make. But it's so worth it! When I stopped stamping a few years ago, Quent encouraged me to keep my stuff in storage for 6 months just to make sure. Well, it's been multiple 6 months and I am safe to say I am no longer stamping--which is really weird to say after being a Stampin Up! demonstrator! Maybe some day I will pick up that hobby again, but for now I am completely satisfied with being a mom, digital scrapbooking, knitting, being a homemaker, etc. It was bittersweet to sell off almost all of my ink pads and stamps, but I must admit I am happy to see it go and to pocket some cash at the same time. Whew!
I'm currently looking for a new knitting project to work on. I have 3 buttons to sew on to my latest project and then it will be done. Why do I keep putting that off? Oops!
For the pages below I used Frolic.

Project Life: Week 18
I'm not too crazy about this spread, but it's done. Maybe it would look better if I changed all of the photos to black and white. I like the colors from the photos and elements to blend, but that was hard to do on these pages. That's ok though! Now on to the next week...
Need a Savior?
No matter who you are and no matter what your past--God loves you. And He sent His son so we might have life and have it abundantly. God sent His One and only Son to die a death we deserved--but in love He willingly took our place. He changed the whole world and He wants to change your whole life today. Are you willing?
Heavenly Father, I come to You admitting that I am a sinner. Right now, I choose to turn away from sin, and I ask You to cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I believe that Your Son, Jesus, died on the cross to take away my sins. I also believe He rose again from the dead so that I might be forgiven of my sins and made righteous through faith in Him. I call upon the name of Jesus Christ to be the Savior and Lord of my life. I declare right now I am a child of God. I am free from sin and full of the righteousness of God. I am saved in Jesus' name, Amen!

Project Life: Week 17
Hello! Well, I've had these layouts open in Photoshop for a few days now due to beautiful weather, painting a bathroom, and other miscellaneous tasks. But today during Jeralyn's nap time I decided to work on it and ended up finishing. Yay! I had to start jotting things down in a document on my computer so I don't forget what's happened each week. So if I do get a little bit behind I at least have the pictures and some journaling. Life is getting busy!
I also wanted to give a knitting update. I finally finished the cardigan I was working on, but now I just need to find some buttons to sew on. I have to say, I think it's one of my most favorite knitting projects! I can't wait to share pictures!

Project Life: Week 16
Hello! Another Project Life spread here. I'm basically caught up now. I feel bad when I don't keep up with the journaling part of it as well as I would like, but at least there's something, right? I also realize I'm starting to get bored with all of the digital kits I've been using, so I think it's time to look for some new stuff. Maybe I will look this weekend when there are all of the different sales from my favorite sites.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: Ephesians 4:15 KJV

Happy Birthday
I did it!!! I finally scrapped Jeralyn's first birthday! Yay!! Seriously, this was really weighing on me. I'm laughing at myself because I'm not used to being so far behind (for me). One of the reasons I stopped selling my designs was because I wanted to use that precious time to scrapbook, and now that precious time is (sometimes) being occupied by other things. So getting any scrapbooking done these days is great!

Project Life: Week 15
Whoa! Two posts in ONE day! Let's just say I'm motivated! Today, Jeralyn is 20 months old. In 4 months she will be two years old! I don't even have her first birthday pictures scrapped! Ahhh!
Project Life: Week 14
Hello! I'm catching up on Project Life! I wonder how behind I would be if I was doing this the old-school paper-style? I would probably still be on Week 1. Ha! I was real simple this week, but happy with how it turned out.

Project Life: Week 13
Yes, I'm feeling a tad bit behind on my Project Life pages, but I'm getting caught up...slowly. Quent has been on the computer a lot working on studying for a big test he is taking later this week, so that's my excuse. The woes of digital scrapbooking. *smile*
I'm thinking about selling most of my stamping stuff. I can't believe I'm even saying that. Years ago I would have never considered that, but I haven't really stamped for 2-3 years now. Isn't that sad? Right now I have no desire to stamp...nor the time. I have all sorts of stamping supplies, so if you are interested in something, ask about it in the comments section and I just may have it.

Project Life: Week 12
It's hard to believe that we are already, what, 14 weeks? into this year? Crazy! Here is week 12 of Project Life. I'm glad I'm using Instagram again for taking some photos because it certainly adds a fun, creative twist to what I want to capture on these pages.
