Guess what?!  Joel's baby journal is finished!!  Yay!  Or at least the first year pages are.  I'm SO excited!  I am so thankful!

I'm almost done with Joel's baby journal.  I'm so so thankful I kept up with it...even if some things weren't "perfect" (lack of journaling and photos).  I know he will enjoy looking through these pages.  Just today the kids and I spent some time looking through some Project Life pages.  We were laughing and just loving looking through the photos.

I combined three weeks for this layout.  We were sick during these weeks and we were still in transition after moving.  We were doing the best we could with what we had.  I had zero energy at times because of being sick.  No fun.

I only had two photos for two weeks.  Yes, our life was a bit crazy!  Well, there were other photos, but not with Joel in them.  Oops!  It was life...and it was a very busy time.  Whew!

I'm slowly working through the pages.  And I even managed to remember some things that happened this week so I could have some journaling.  That last page looked so sad without journaling.  I'll do my best to think of what may have happened that week. *sad face*

All 3 kids have had their 9 month photo on our brown recliner.  Yay for consistency! (because it doesn't always happen)

This was the point where I stopped keeping up with journaling about his week.  And I feel REALLY bad about it.  Like this sick-in-my-stomach regret.  It makes me feel so sad.  And I don't even feel like I can even make anything up because honestly, I don't remember much.  I do remember when he started crawling. I remember when the packers came to our house and when we moved.  It was a very crazy time and it didn't settle down until he was almost a year old.  And just recently my phone died, which means I lost some information that I had put in my notes about him (like when he got his first tooth and other teeth).  I feel so bad.  *sad face*  I hope he understands...

Yes, it's been many weeks since I last posted.  I'm being careful about how much time I spend on the computer.  It seems that our very nice computer chair doesn't agree with me at times, so I have to limit my computer time.

Project Life 2016: December

Hello!

Guess what?  2016 is done!  Of course...it's almost April!  Haha!  I'm talking about my monthly Project Life pages!  Complete!  Finished!  Yay!  

And now it's time to plan a little bit for 2017's pages.  I would like to find a new font to use and change things a little bit, but it won't be much of a change.  I like the templates and format I've been using; it's working well for me.

December was a weird month.  We moved.  It was Christmas-time, but it didn't really feel like it without all of our festive decorations.  There was snow--plenty of snow!  So that made it festive.  And then we were all sick for Christmas.  Ugh.  Germs go away!

Only one more month to go for Project Life 2016!

It's so weird looking back at these photos because it was our last weeks at our house in Ketchikan. It was a bittersweet time; much yearned for, but then when it was finally happening it was sad at the same time.  We had friends over for Thanksgiving and then BOOM, a few days later the packers were boxing up all of our stuff.  And then once our house was empty it no longer felt like home.

I'm curious to see what photos I actually have of December since it was such a weird month...

I'm so glad I decided long ago to do a monthly version of Project Life because otherwise it would take me ages to complete the pages.  It's not about completing it...but still...it would have taken me forever if I was doing a weekly project.  

Lately, the kids have been taking out our most recent scrapbook albums and looking through them.  Joshua thinks that he is Jeralyn or that his baby pictures are Joel (they do look a lot alike).  It's been fun to share those memories with them through the pages.

It's been fun to catch-up because I look back at these photos and the memories of our last home and our life in Alaska come flooding into my heart and mind.  Those were precious, memorable years.  We left Alaska different people than when we first entered the beautiful state.  And now the journey continues...but that's for later...when I'm more caught up.
