Jeralyn's 6th birthday

Hello!

I've been working on this spread for weeks (not kidding).  Of course, I wasn't working on it the whole time.  I started it, but then I got stuck.  I made a minor change and decided I was done.

Jeralyn probably thought her 6th birthday was the most pathetic birthday so far (no party), but she was a pretty happy girl anyway.  I just love that easy-going way about her.

Joshua's 2nd Birthday

Hello!  Whoa!  Two posts in a week! Don't get used to this.  Ha!  I'm hoping to work on some monthly Project Life pages soon.  We shall see.  Life is busy with three kiddos, but I still love this creative outlet and I want to capture as much as I can with my camera and with scrapbooking.

I love birthday parties!  They are a lot of work, but they are fun!  I tried really hard to keep Joshua's party simple, but I did step outside of simple a bit.  It was a month after having baby, so I had a lot of ideas planned about a month before baby was born.  Thank you, Pinterest!

Jeralyn's 4th Birthday

Hello!

Well, it's been a very long time since I have blogged...or scrapbooked for that matter!  I had a baby...more on that later.  Ha!  But I did manage to find some time this week to work on a couple of pages.  This is Jeralyn's 4th birthday.  I had found a really fun mermaid kit on Sweet Shoppe Designs.  I love all of the colors and how it goes so well together with the decorations for her party in the photos.

Frozen Snow Princess

Hello!

Wow, it's been awhile!  And it's been awhile since I've done regular scrapbooking.  And it took me 10 months to scrapbook Jeralyn's 3rd birthday.  But you know what, that's okay!  I'm so glad I looked up "frozen" on Designer Digitals because it came up with this perfect mini-kit that you can find here.  Yay!  It fit the theme so well and I'm so pleased!

Project Life 2015: Week 11

Hello!

I know...I'm SO behind!!

Good news though--I'm getting caught up.  *cheering*

I have several pages to share with you over the next few days.

When Quent saw the color combination for Joshua's birthday party, he hinted that he suspected that the reason I picked the blue color was so I could scrap it later.  *blush* He has me figured out!  Ha!  Although, these aren't the actual birthday scrapbook pages that will be for his official birthday party, but yes, that's the reason.  I'm not in love with the color red and black comes after brown for me.  So there you have it.

Birthday #2

Hello!

I thought I would break things up with the Project Life and Baby Journal posts to share a page I made of Jeralyn's 2nd birthday.  I'm not sure why it took me this long to scrap/document it, but here it is:

The theme for her birthday was turtles (she LOVES turtles!).  The colors were green and purple.  Honestly, this was a challenging page for me to scrap because I'm not really that fond of purple (although the shade of Jeralyn's dress is my favorite shade when it comes to purple).  And I'm not really into bright green.  I'm more of a teal green kind of girl.  Or in the (back in the day) Stampin' Up! world, "Garden Green".  Not mint green (which is what I had to work with here).  I was tempted to turn most of the photos to black & white, but I wanted to preserve the colors so Jeralyn could (one day) look back and see what colors I made her cake.  I played with this page several times over the last few days.  I'm happy with it.
