Project Life: Week 16

Hello!  Another Project Life spread here.  I'm basically caught up now.  I feel bad when I don't keep up with the journaling part of it as well as I would like, but at least there's something, right?  I also realize I'm starting to get bored with all of the digital kits I've been using, so I think it's time to look for some new stuff.  Maybe I will look this weekend when there are all of the different sales from my favorite sites.

Happy Birthday

I did it!!!  I finally scrapped Jeralyn's first birthday!  Yay!!  Seriously, this was really weighing on me.  I'm laughing at myself because I'm not used to being so far behind (for me).  One of the reasons I stopped selling my designs was because I wanted to use that precious time to scrapbook, and now that precious time is (sometimes) being occupied by other things.  So getting any scrapbooking done these days is great!

Project Life: Week 15

Whoa!  Two posts in ONE day!  Let's just say I'm motivated!  Today, Jeralyn is 20 months old.  In 4 months she will be two years old!  I don't even have her first birthday pictures scrapped!  Ahhh!

Project Life: Week 14

Hello!  I'm catching up on Project Life!  I wonder how behind I would be if I was doing this the old-school paper-style?  I would probably still be on Week 1.  Ha!  I was real simple this week, but happy with how it turned out.

Project Life: Week 13

Yes, I'm feeling a tad bit behind on my Project Life pages, but I'm getting caught up...slowly.  Quent has been on the computer a lot working on studying for a big test he is taking later this week, so that's my excuse.  The woes of digital scrapbooking.  *smile*

I'm thinking about selling most of my stamping stuff.  I can't believe I'm even saying that.  Years ago I would have never considered that, but I haven't really stamped for 2-3 years now.  Isn't that sad?  Right now I have no desire to stamp...nor the time.  I have all sorts of stamping supplies, so if you are interested in something, ask about it in the comments section and I just may have it.

Project Life: Week 12

It's hard to believe that we are already, what, 14 weeks? into this year?  Crazy!  Here is week 12 of Project Life.  I'm glad I'm using Instagram again for taking some photos because it certainly adds a fun, creative twist to what I want to capture on these pages.

Project Life: Week 11

Hello!  Another Project Life week to share here.  I have to admit it's the only kind of scrapbooking I've been doing recently.  And I'm totally ok with that!

Project Life: Week 9

Once I had Week 8 finished, it didn't take me too long to complete Week 9.  I think I need to make more time to scrapbook each day or at least a few times a week.  I feel like I've been SO busy lately!

Project Life: Week 8

Finally!!  Nothing like waiting on your husband to edit his ski photos so you could complete a page!  But it's done!  Yay!  Now it's time to start Week 9!  Yay!  Hope you are having a great weekend!

Way, Truth, Life

 Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

It's not through Buddha, it's not through any of the millions of Hindu gods...it's only through Jesus Christ.  There is no other way to God the Father.  There is only one God.  It's been pressed on my heart to share this today.  I pray this truth will resonate in your heart.

Project Life: Week 7

I'm back again with another Project Life spread.  Unfortunately, this week's spread doesn't make my heart go pitter patter.  But I keep on thinking about what Jamie shared with me about how much I will appreciate these pages later on...no matter what they look like.  I am seriously enjoying this project!

Thank you to those who have left comments so far (see this post).  I know there are more of you looking at my blog.  Come on, don't be shy--unless you are a spam commenter who thinks I should buy jewerly or purses!

Father's Day

Happy Tuesday, oops!  I mean Wednesday!  Wow!  Where have I been?

Like I said, I have been scrapbooking here and there.  I had a lot of fun creating this page about Father's Day.

I have been knitting a cardigan for Jeralyn.  I am making good progress on it.  Currently, I am knitting the first sleeve.  I'll talk more about that project when I take some pictures.  I'm excited about this one!

Sunshine Girl

Hello!  Happy President's Day!  Ha!

I actually have been scrapbooking here and there, I just haven't had time to post.  I have a moment while Daddy and Jeralyn are playing outside (and dinner is in the oven/slow-cooker)...so here I am!  Actually, I take that back--they are back inside!

This page makes me wish it was summer!

Project Life: Week 6

Hello!  So this is my favorite Project Life spread so far!  I think I'm starting to get a feel for what I want it to look like.  Yay!  I really like how it turned out!  I also tried to focus more on journaling this week.  I don't know why, but I'm terrible at journaling day-to-day stuff.  So I need to focus on making that more of a priority.  Like maybe even write down each day (like at in the evening) what we did that day so I can remember it when I'm working on these pages.

Mother's Day

Happy Saturday to you!  I'm enjoying the weekend so far and I hope you are too!  This past week I have been participating in a Beachbody challenge and doing Chalene Johnson's Turbo Fire workout.  I'm having a great time and I can tell my body is getting a great workout!  I love endorphins!

And I found my creativity again this week, which makes me very happy!  Yay!

I finished this layout this morning:

Well, I'm off to be creative!  Have a blessed weekend!

Project life: Week 5

Hello!  I'm back with another week of Project Life: digital style.  I wanted to send a shout out and thank you to my friend Jamie for reminding me about the purpose of Project Life and scrapbooking in general.  (Jamie, thank you!)  She reminded me that no matter what my pages look like, that I will be so glad I did them later down the road when we look through the albums.  Yes!  It's SO true!  I have a lot of completed scrapbooks, some of them were done in the old-school Creative Memories style, but I love looking through them.  Jamie's comment encouraged me so much!

I am actually enjoying Project Life so much that I am tempted to use it to catch up on 2012.  Ha!  I like how simple the process is (thus far) and how I can't wait until the week is over so I can process photos and get started.  With my limited time now to sit down and do such things, it's a great way to still capture memories through scrapbooking.

I feel like I did a lot of scrapbooking of last year's photos already by doing the Weekly Baby Journal for Jeralyn, but there are some memories I want to do separate pages for.  But I am starting to feel quite overwhelmed with all of the memories and photos still left for 2012.  I know some of you are probably chuckling at me, but I am so used to being more caught up than this!  Ha!  Oh well, I would rather be making memories with my family than stuck in front of a computer all the time.

Until next time...

Easter

I did it!  I scrapped a real scrapbook page!  Whoop!  And now I'm going to see if I can muster up more creativity!  Have a blessed Sunday!

Project Life: Week 4

I have a confession to make: I have no desire to scrapbook right now!  Oh NO!!  I'm more interested in Project Life and knitting right now.  And reading.  I have tried so many times to scrapbook this week and nothing comes to me.  Do you ever have those times?  Please tell me I'm not alone!  I wish the desire would show up again because I am getting behind.  I wish I would have started Project Life last year because I think it would have helped me scrap all of the darling photos I would like to scrap.  I think what I need to do is really really cut back on what I scrap and just scrap those photos that mean the MOST.  I can do this!  I will conquer this.  Ha!

And even with Project Life I still feel like my pages are boring.  But to be honest, I am welcoming the simplicity.  It just works for me right now.

Well, I must sign off now and get creative with a poopy diaper!
